woot

i like the bass rhythm, it makes the song sound more "dancey", i guess.
still, the subtlety of the instruments and the thumping bass sound pretty nice,
just meeds more intricate hi-hat patterns at times (the off-beat pattern gets a little stale)
still, good song, mate.
and thanks for the fav :D

not bad

but it could've been mastered a little better, and a better drumset used.
still, the writing was refreshing,
good job, mate

woo

i like the glitch stops,
makes it hard to dance to, but easy to hear.
clap was a little loud for me, but still, good stuff.
and maybe a little swing would make this song sound neater,
glitch+swing rhythm=b'dass
i really liked the technical stuff in this one.
jorb well done.

freddyfinger responds:

yea i had to lower the clap some, im surprised it's still loud for ya. and you're right, some swing in it would sound pretty rad, maybe shoulda tried that heh. thanks for reviewing kj

well

i liked the chill chords, very lulling,
but it did get repetitive at times (for my taste, i'm not everyone),
the effects and sounds were good,
you just need to branch out more with techniques and eccentricities,
as well as chord structures.
but i'd give it a 3-4,
not a 1.8,
some people on newgrounds are just a bunch of 0-bombing weenies.

sheezy

loved the clap, it rang nicely..
uhh pretty simple stuff, sounded clear, real nice.
have fun getting famous, broooo

freddyfinger responds:

ive already had my fame, back in 2000 when one of my flash videos was front paged on this website. i was a star. people would come up to me on the street and be like "move! get out of the way!". it was amazing

and thx for ur review!

nexus

have a feeling you used it a lot.
had an ok sound, you just need to diversify on the plugins a little.

VNStudios responds:

I overused Nexus a lot, but I haven't had much practice in making custom synths though I plan on learning once time permits. Thanks for the review!

thought "JL" stood for Justice League.
anywhoo, the song sounds like youjust changed volume on the instruments,
but you gotta do a little more, just seperate them into effect tracks and put parametric EQ on all of them, then find their "sweet spot".
well i guess it's not insanely simple,
just google "flstudio EQ sweet spot youtube" and there's a great video for how to get started.

JohnLeprechaun responds:

Thanks, I'll definitely check it out. I'm sure discovering that "JL" merely stood for little old me was a little disappointing.

hella fuckin' balls-to-the-wall awesome

normally not on the trance train, but this was just so fresh, i had to comment.
the panning was great, and the reverb spurs sat great in the track.
i liked the bass and, well everything.
also, the drums were really tight, like sound-wise,
also in the slang sense.
whatever.
great upload.

woo

vocal tracks were kinda quiet, just bump the middle upper frequencies.
everything else was pretty nice

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

I'll be mucking in the mix for a while, I should have a better version up soon!! Thanks again, dude!!!

actually really good part writing

liked the e-piano, sounded great.
also, is that a little canon in D i hear?
but still, everything fit great, and things didn't get boring,
enjoyed :]

Tomppaah responds:

Haha, thanks very much! :D
