woohhhh

sounds pretty wacky.
try to highten the frequncy on the drums, it's really bassy.
and if your entire drumset is on 1 mixer track, then split it, so each type of drum has a seperate track.
but very different, i've never heard anything like this to tell the truth.

ectsoman responds:

Thanks for the tip, I usually keep all my percussion on one track to minimize the cpu usage and to compress everything so I don't have to double up on effects, but I recently got a much better computer so I'll test that out :D

is that

from the video with the guy yelling at his cats?
well i liked the creativity of the song, and the instruments were well picked,
but it needs a little more mastering to help really define the ranges for the tons of drums you used for the song.
still, i liked it, good jorb.

AestheticSessions responds:

It's actually mastered pretty well, but I had to compress it majorly to get it 'Newgrounds-able' (from almost 13 megs down to like, 4). It sounds much, much better on the CD.

Oh, and yeah, it's from that movie. The guy's just really good at sounding angry.

good job fauster

it's good to get that kinda stuff out there.
i think it'd sound neat for the hi-hat to flange a little during the quieter parts, but that's just me.
but it sounded nice anyhoo,
and by the way, i'd be really grateful if you shot a few pointers my way on somma my songs.

make a sub

subs don't interfere with the volume outputs and they're as simple to make as a bread sandwich.
just take a good shape (i recommend saw&sine or detuned saw) and EQ it to only fit in the incredibly low freq. range.
it really fills up the song's range and just makes it sound better.
not that it's not good already, which it is,
i liked the airiness of it.

garsh

nice use of the word "idiosyncractic"
sounds incredibly random, and i have no taste for such music,
so, 5/5 for originality.

DrudgeSkeleton responds:

Thanx mate since I'm going for originality.

shwiddly shweet

the kick was perfect, broski.
i liked the transition for the reese, i barely even noticed it appeared.
but if you want more dubstep, have thehi-hats set to 16th notes.
that's pretty much what every dubstep sounds like :P

haywirehaywire responds:

yea true, this really isnt that good of a song. ill have to make something new soon

i'm gonna

start stalking Bojangles, lol.
this song would sound really cool if you put in a few reverse snares,
really short and snappy and it really eccentuates (is it even a word?) the beat.
also, i liked the delayed guitar
.
enjoy being talented!

freddyfinger responds:

ur gonna stalk the bojangles restaurant? lol

i guess

your weirdest stuff is the best to me.
i liked the idea, especially as blitzed as i am right now.
the end was really nice,
the mood was perfectly se, so that every noise had its place.

Darren-M responds:

thanks, i did like the ending rather more as well.

:)

really liked it

craaaaazy stuff, broski.
as it turns oot, according to the String Theory,
the 4th dimension is time.
i think that's kinda neat.

Darren-M responds:

hey that is cool. cool points for the string theory!

thanks for the review

:O.

hey, keep trying,
if you really like making music, you'll find yours.
