weird name

but whatever,
i think the song sould at least 1 time break into an ACTUAL drum'n'bass beat,
but what's there is ok, the drums are a little heavy in the high freq, lower that some.
but eerything else was dandilion fresh.
i liked the tiny intricate parts in parts of the overall simplistic song.

it's ok

just lower the bass volume when you do a bunch of them in a row so it doesn't distort.
also don't use sytrus presets.
but it was pretty good besides that.

well... loop.
if the pads arent' widened already (i can't tell atm, bad speaker output :[ ),
you should widen them for a more spacey sound with a light pan to give adrifting feel, but that;s just what i would do.
really liked the arp, it sounded retrto, and i like that.
the drums were nice as well, the glitching and pitch changing are a really nice touch to pick up the long, flowing pads.
but i think the kick could be deepened and faded so it has an ethereal thump,
and contributes towards that atmos feel.
good job on the song writing and composure (your strong suits, imho),
but work a little on the fine-tuning for panning and effects, so that your song really fits together and melds.

thanks again for your reviews, i like your ideas about this one.

The pads are widened, how ever I do like your suggestion about panning it a little of center (if thats what you mean) to make it stand out in the stereo field a bit more.

and giving the volume of the kick a more noticeable release would indeed contrast well for the piece, most likely i shall mplement that once I post the final render on NG.

the vocals

i liked the celestial sound,
the timbres were well picked.. but a little too MIDI,
for moods that have a definite sound (gothic, angelic, etc.),
you really need to depend on the quality of the instruments.
but as for the writing, it was well done, and the composure was refreshing,
just work on the subtle EQs and try live sounds if you can for a more professional sound,
but that isn't always needed.

that was in reference to your review title/summary about the choir/organ sound right? because if not, the strings are real, layered samples XD But I'm glad you like the writing though! thanks for the review dude.

well

seems like the drums should be a lot louder, instead of bass.
if you really pumped the drums (made them more DnB style) this song would be really great, but right now, it's just one-sided (VERY bass heavy)
not to say it isn't a good song, there were some nice tunes and good effects, it stayed fresh the whole song, but it's missing something (a sweet DnB beat imo, but you could just add something else, like a true soprano line or a long sweep pad instrument)
but it's pretty nice as is.

Yeah, I know the mixing isn't very good. Mine never is. Workin' on it though. But yeah, all my songs tend to be too bassy, which is because I use headphones when I make them. I'll be sure and fix that for the final mix of the song. Especially with the drums. I don't know about DnB, it's not really my style. I throw a little in occasionally, but I think it would feel a little out of place in this song. Anyway, thank you for the feedback and review. I really appreciate it.

and don't forget to TRY NEW THINGS
every time you make a song,
like try using a new instrument (like beepmaps, or additive synths)
or try making a song without effects, only EQ and instrument tweaking.
if you want to get better, you HAVE to make try new genres and styles,
so you don't get caught up doing the same stuff over and over again.

well i read the author's comments, and i enjoyed the pseudo-deepness.
but as for the song, i really like the beat, it's catchy.
the breathy pad you use could be flanged some so it fits in more and sounds spacier.
but only thing i don't like is that it sounds like something is missing from this song.
i don't know what.
anyways, i think piano's are overrated, but i liked when you pitch bended and did that stuff with reversing on the piano, it sounded neat as hell.

you know if it hadnt been a good suggestion i wouldnt consider it, but i think flanging the main pad might be a good idea, or at least a filtered portion of it.

yeah i wanted the piano to be more interesting than just, "piano".
