hmmmm

well, overall i liked the style of the song.
and the writing was really nice, and instrumentation was great, i really liked those parts.

but here's some things i think would make your song even better (just opinion, but still)
the intro is a little sketchy, sounds like you just put the loops ontop of each other one at a time, put more love into that, not saying you can't pull that off, but you have to do it well.

the drum part from intro to 1st verse sounds really cool, but it doesn't really fit in.

the main reverse pad is too loud, or the backup is too weak.

the drums sound quiet, which is bad because i liked how they sounded, with exception to the hi-hat, i didn't really like how the hi-hat sounded.
perhaps you could find a hat with more sustain.

and all songs sound much better with mastering,
just make sure to roll off bass at ~40kh and cut out unused frequencies in other instruments, gives a professional sound to things.

and remember, this is all opinion, so take it or leave it.

still, i like where this could go.

Enteroar responds:

Wow thanks for the bass tip, I never knew that, I always used my own table of frequencies.
I srsly made this song in like one day so it was pretty rushed, but I felt it had really good flow.
Ill probably work on this song more some other time.
Thanks though!

the bass

very reminiscent of the tech-pop thing going on with stuff like 3oh3 or kesha.
if i had to give a tip, i'd say work on your drum comp more, because more often than not, drum loops tend to have a loud half and a subtle half.
the hits on the off-beat and snares are on the explicit, then a quieter 16th-note rhythm gives depth to a drum track. and if you master it correctly, it really adds to a song.

Enteroar responds:

I fail at mastering @_@

needs a shaker

makes everything funkier :D
and i liked the whole real instruments/tech drums thing.
and if that wasn't what you were going for,
open up the higher freq's on the instruments, it'll level everything out.

Enteroar responds:

Nope. 100% intented :D

it'd be neat

if that organ had a panning thing going on.
i liked the scratching.
but the instruments were a little MIDI, if that wasn't intended.
everything else was real cool

Enteroar responds:

midi? D: shucks i actually made a lot of these synths T_T

woot

i like it.
but i would add a sub-bass for extra thump,
if that's what you were going for.
the melody is simple, i like it in that it doesn't get old,
like the tune from No More Heroes

Slug-Salt responds:

yeah i agree with you there, about the subs, problem is my sound card is so wonderfully shitty that it starts to artifact when i add subs to this song. that will be fixed soon. thanks for the review!

yo dawg

well, i like it,
i suspect distortion was intended,
i suggest instead of that :40 really quiet thing,
you should cut back the bass and put a filter on that shiz,
for the radio-effect.
but it's just a suggestion.

Ef-X responds:

suggestion taken, that would sound so much better, thanks for the review.

you are very americanized

america wins again.
you may have talked in swedish for like an hour,
but you had mcdonalds for lunch,
you were watching 2 and a half men.
i'll see you in my dreams, hot cakes.

DarkmasterXIII responds:

T'hee, it was German, my dear friend. And thanks for the score! :D

wow, dude

this pretty fucking good for an attempt.
lots of dubstep influence, i liked.
dude, wow.
sweet kick, lossa bass, and it has great composition, too.
gratz.

haywirehaywire responds:

I like how you named all those good things and then gave it an 8 haha. Thanks for the review man.

woo

i like the glitch stops,
makes it hard to dance to, but easy to hear.
clap was a little loud for me, but still, good stuff.
and maybe a little swing would make this song sound neater,
glitch+swing rhythm=b'dass
i really liked the technical stuff in this one.
jorb well done.

freddyfinger responds:

yea i had to lower the clap some, im surprised it's still loud for ya. and you're right, some swing in it would sound pretty rad, maybe shoulda tried that heh. thanks for reviewing kj

sheezy

freddyfinger responds:
