good job

very personalized and glitchy. but it seems like you know what you are doing.
the snare(or some of them, you use like 80 dif snares) sounds really MIDI, in my opinion, but it might be intended.
i dunno if this is dance, but it sounds great, although a little empty.

DjScantron99 responds:

haha yeah i like snares ^^
and i know what you mean
fl studio does that, it all sounds the same
but thanks for the positve response
ill take your advice and see if i can fill up the song a little more

sounds okeydoke to me

some tard is just 0-bombing everyone's submissions.
the EQ is nice and the instruments were'nt too bad, actually.
the constant bass gets repeptitiviveiveivepetitive.
or i guess it picks up a little too slow for my tastes.
the writing is very on-beat, but whatever.
the main lead is a little too loud, or maybe it doesn't cover the right freq, but i dunno.
anyways, good job on the song.

Codilla responds:

Ugh, hate 0-bombing. Such bullcrap.

Anyways, thanks for the review, means a lot, since your also the only one. LOL.

mmyep

you sound like you know what you're doing, so i'll just offer my opinion.
the piano in the beginning (the left-hand part) sounds too cloudy for my taste, if you haven't already, split the left-hand and right-hand piano into 2 tracks and EQ each so the bass doesn't sound so blotchy..? everything else sounded pretty nice. the drums were kinda flat (try changing the pitch of the snare/hi-hat/bass every now and again) the lead that comes in around 3:00 is really loud for its frequency (just my opnion, but, well, look at your score)
but overally, sounded really nice, even though the chord progression got a little boring to me (you can only lead-solo a certain amount, imo)

Exotec responds:

thank you for your review :) i literally put this together in half an hour, so it's not up to my standards either. The final mix with vocals will be out soon.

well

the reverb sounds nice, but try not to use the overused saw and trance cut.
it's ok, i mean the saw is a little loud and the instruments are kinda MIDI, but it's just ok for me.
i'll vote 5 because some retard is 0-bombing everyone's submissions.

steven-lee responds:

thanks for the review. i'll keep that in mind. plus this song was pretty rushed anyway lol. just a reeverb test in my opinion

hey good jorb

there's drum, AND bass!
listen to zolzer on this one, i reery hope you understand what he was talking about, but i say
widen your bass out and pick the kick up on the higher freq's (try fruit kick if you use FL9, it's the shizzy)

SteakJohnson responds:

thanksa bunch! yourr songs r good too

just

if this was in a game 30 yers ago, you'd be getting 5's.
really, it doesn't sound that bad, in fact, i say it's pretty ok.
people on NG seem to follow the trend of "if the guy before me voted 0, i gotsta vote 0"
but yeah, i voted 5 to even things out and because you deserve it.
nowmake it.. not 8-bit.

Lowash responds:

Thanks alot. I'm planning on working on that... and yeah it sucks the songs on this site get voted down so frequently just because.

it sure is miscellaneous

like the vox pad (reminds me of Daft Punk, but whatever) the bass in the beginning, i can tell you wanted distortion and clipping and whatnot, but there's a LOT of clipping, it's a little excessive, but hey, it's just my opinion.
and because it's an 11 minute song, there's a lot of randomness (nothing wrong with it, just wanted to point it out)
really like the drums, EQ is great, i think the snare/clap/whatever could be louder or maybe a higher frequency, but srs, this is just my opnion.
really, this song is put together very well and on a technical standpoint it's
super-duper.
i can't make criticizations, but i can offer my opinion, so thar ye goest.

InvisibleObserver responds:

I think some of the clipping sounds are intentional, but there is some coming through that was not present in the 320kbps version. I'll likely dip the volume a bit, re-render and upload. My musics very subjective as I'm glad you appear to be aware of.

Thanks for the review and maintaining intelligence.

aww

didn't get the song :((
i voted 5 anyways :)

AdventureBiscuit responds:

cheers!

What do you mean, you didn't get the song?

thanks for the 5 though! :3

don't feel bad

i think someone just 0-bomb'd you.
i liked the tune of the song (very good tone)
but it's a little unrefined, and it sounds like you used presets.
try and make your own sound by effecting or creating instruments.
but the wirting was really catchy and nice (in my opinion).

ghostblairdarkness responds:

Hey thanks for the review =) And yea ill see what i can do with the instruments.

good jorb

sounds good, but i think the high-pitch panning instrument could pan a little more synchroniously with the music.
and sidechaining your bassline couldn't hurt.
but those are jut extras,
nice job.

nightsurfermusic responds:

The bassline was originally sidechained, however I changed it to pump to a ddderent beat from another smaller bassline source.

Thanks for the review. :D
