classical

good song, but its def classical genre.
unless you are voting it up in misc so 0-bombers cant affect score.
but, yeah, onto the review.
liked the mood this song portrayed.
rums were a little MIDI, might wanna take another drumset, preferrably a more orchestral one.
you should widen the bassier strings for a more ambient effect, really makes the piece sound more proffesional.

reminds me of Earthbound

the bassline, mostly.
but its a really nice song, great drum and composure.
jumps around a bit, but nice and catchy at parts.

mickeyblouse responds:

Many thanks! I didn't have Earthbound in mind, but I love the music from that title, so you've paid me a great compliment.

i think

this would really fit into ambient.
its a really nice song!
bass is a little strong, tho.
but here's a protip:
vote it up in misc so the 0-bombers cant hurt you when you change genres.
but yeah, really good song, man.
keep it up!

bowserhunter responds:

Thanks for the review!
And i was already doing the "protip" :P anyways thanks for the 9

ng isnt a fan of reviewing.

but i'll do the dirty work.
well its a little too cheesy in that you need to tweak your instruments to sound more professional. EQ is also a really good helper. (see whittaker, a NG artist for examples of GREAT EQ)
also needs transitions other than a cymbal.

its good.

but not GREAT.
great composure and skill, but could use better EQ and more professional-sounding instruments.
btw, it should be.
pps. be sure to check out my other music =P

e991e responds:

thanks for the review! i plan on remaking this with my new VSTs. it will sound better i promise

and thanks for the grammar lesson ;D

GASP!!

its...
FUNKY.
real nice, though.

hell, i'l write a review.

perhaps you should have juiced it up a bit before putting in on newgrounds.
you shouldnt just put random tests on here.
but hey, it sounds cool.

Saigon responds:

this wasn't a test. I was attempting to do a percussion version of the phasing technique. Although it won't sound bad with different instruments...
Thank You for the review! :D

a really nice song, man

i think misc is the best category b/c one can hear diferent styles of music.
9/10 because it is a little plain (drum and piano are a little cheesy/MIDI-ish)
5/5 because i vote 5 on everyhting.
also really nice composure and transitions, you should spend more time on effects and EQ.

actually really nice

eq is pretty good (could use polishing, high pitched noises could be compressed)
good little tune, a little repetitive, but its 1:30, so w/e.
i really like the transition, it was really great.
this could use some professional touches, but for beatmaker, very nice.
5/5
8/10

MikeBlade responds:

Appreciate the review. Yea its a tad repetitive because I didn't want to make something that would over take a flash. But i can agree with the compression comment totally. I will try harder in the future, thanks.

remix..

not a big fan of 'em.
but anyways, midi instruments.
eq problems.
if you spent a while really working on this, you could polish this up
and really make it shine-ish (it IS a remix)
tips:
find better instruments vst's
spend time working on EQ (use maximus.)
