i like your funky style

very bouncy.
nothing i can really say bad about this song.
can't criticize the writing, coz you didn't exactly write the song.
but it was executed pretty well.
needs a little more ambient noises at times,
but who really cares.
great song, for a remix.

Kazmo responds:

Remixes aren't different than making an original, in terms of effort put into it. A remix can sound good, or even better than the original, which means effort and time were put into it.

I put the same amount of effort into my remixes as I do my original pieces. But you can't just rate a song on the fact that it's a remix, and that because it's a remix, it doesn't deserve all posible marks.

I actually revisited this song and remastered it, but I can't update it because it's been used in a flash.

yeah

i guess it's a startup, but please pick a different bassline, IT'S REALLY OVERUSED.
as for the song, it could be better, watch your EQ and pick less generic instruments,
(also the crowd cheering loop is cliche, trash it)

Dj-Rayn responds:

I took your words to thought. I found it the same way, so I worked on the beginning a bit. Thanks for the review :]

could use some work

but wat's there sounds pretty good.
modulate the key a little, so things don't get repetitive.
try to EQ more, so everything blends in, instead of the instruments getting in the way of eachother so that you have to make one instrument really loud for it to be heard, so what i'm trying to say is seperate (by using multiband compessor or parametric EQ) the instruments into differnt frequencies so they all blend into eachother.
sounds pretty good to me, tho.

hyptyhop responds:

Thanx for the tips, unluckily i lost the fruity loop file but saved the mp3 one. So its gonna stay just the way it is right now/

very

aphex twin-like.
i guess that's all i can say, really.
it sounded good for a beat and pad,
but seriously, you need to write catchy songs as well as avantgarde pieces.
it helps diversify your audience.

oh, yeah

that account "engie" is my alt account, so that was my review...
so yeah.

sounds like 90s

like one of those deep, hevy songs from the 80s (mostly coz of the choir)..
well until the drums come in (very well EQd, btw, i just love that drumset)
it was pretty cool, it flowed better than some of your songs, lol.
but i'm still barely getting that bass, and my woofers are all the way up.
although the chrod prog gets a little boring.
modulate it a little.

Acid-Paradox responds:

Awesome, Thanks!!

breh

once it broke in, this was a really great-sounding track,
needs more lower frequencies (more bass).
and the composure was a little random for the breaks (work on your transitions)
but yeah, it sounds really cool, and i like the panning for the arps ;)

like that funky chord progression

the guitar-ish lead is really cool because of the trills,
not a lot to this song, but the drums are REALLy well done imo.
the composure leaves something to be desired, because it's just off and on,
no transitions, really.
as for mixing, i say turn up the bass a little and add a filter and automation clip (for the filter) to make it synch up with the music.
you're probably done with this, but those are jsut some suggestions.
OH, and i like the pogo delay of the little chord-thing, try and widen that more :DD

i would really like to know

where you got the synth for the woman's voice, it's really great.
but this song was EQ'd perfectly, and sounds VERY professional,
i liked the chorus's chord progression, and this was a great song overall.
enjoyed listening to it.

lol if you made this

then good job, sounds great, and NG-goers and retarded.
if this is just a song you like, then it's pretty good.
sounds professional.

floccari responds:

Composed, played, and recorded myself. I use as pro of equipment that I can afford (Reason 4.0 + Kawai Stage Keyboard + Edirol Audio Interface). Thanks for the compliment!
