hmm

sounds like ou spent some time on this.
very glitchy, which fits the leads and tone as well, so kudos.
drums could be a bit louder (or maybe the snare is too blurred)
this sounds like drum n bass more than techno atm.
and if that main synth isn't the bass, up in an octave and add a bassline.

sounds crazy

keep on doin' it, and you'll find a knack.
i geuss all i have to say is that trance is a very seemingly repetitive genre,
so you have to really do more than fancy sound effects and glitchy leads.
do something crazy and get noticed, hopefully.
also, wacky name, crystal skies.

good job, dudah

sounds pretty good.
trance isn't my genre,
but i hav some general stuff,
try soft sidechaining on the bass kick to get a pulse/groove going.
the clap sounded a bit stale, try altering the pitch a tad bit every other clap to keep it fresh-sounding.
the song sounded pretty nice, keepon truckin', manski.
sounds better than my trance, lol.

don't feel bad

i think someone just 0-bomb'd you.
i liked the tune of the song (very good tone)
but it's a little unrefined, and it sounds like you used presets.
try and make your own sound by effecting or creating instruments.
but the wirting was really catchy and nice (in my opinion).

ghostblairdarkness responds:

Hey thanks for the review =) And yea ill see what i can do with the instruments.

howdy

this song sounds professional, that's for sure.
i like the arp, but it'd sound cool with a decay envelope or something.
i'm not big on the trance genre, so i don't really know what is considered correct, but whatever.
at 2:20-ish, there's this wah'd vocoder-sounding instrument that gets uncomfortably loud at parts.
but i'm just nit-picking,
it's a great song, but it's a little too soft for my taste.
on technical merit i'll hand you that 5/5

good jorb

sounds good, but i think the high-pitch panning instrument could pan a little more synchroniously with the music.
and sidechaining your bassline couldn't hurt.
but those are jut extras,
nice job.

nightsurfermusic responds:

The bassline was originally sidechained, however I changed it to pump to a ddderent beat from another smaller bassline source.

Thanks for the review. :D

go you

sounds nice.
up the lower frequency on the bass, so it doesn't have to be so loud and controlling (i know its drumb and bass, but still).
but yeah, other than that, it's a little repetetive chord-wise,
but sounds great, enjoy your 5.

MSXOmega responds:

Ok, I'll try that. Thanks for the 5!

good job

sounds cool, now add a bassline to deepen the song (the one that's there is so quiet, in non-existant).
liked the timing and the drums and synths and composure and all,
it just needs a bassline.

mr-match responds:

Working on it. Thanks for the suggestion.

ok, so

the sitar/guitar in the beginning, EQ it, so it's not so high on the frequency,
i like the song as a whole, and it's got great use of timbre.
sounds a little like pendulum, but i digress,
enjoyed the tune, and if i had my way, i would add short, beepy chords when the bass hits at 1:25 to fill the song out a little more.

BlackVen0m responds:

Thanks, I'm actually suprised that people are starting to assume that I have a similar style to famous DnB artists. Not entirely sure if thats a good or bad thing seeing as I want to be myself really and not someone else! xD

Anyway, It's still a work in progress so I still got alot of work to do on it. Shouldn't expect everything to be great straight away! :P

yep

i like how the piano is eq'd jsut right,
it sounds like a real piano (which it might be, for all i know),
and if it is, kudos to you for making it.
yeah, it's beautifully done,
so no negative marks on my view.
but i'm no professional.

TommyUlysesGrant responds:

Yes it is a real piano :) ...

Thank you ...
